Capacity
100,000 sq ft /9183m2 of indoor storage on a single site. Additionally available is 60,000 sq ft /5500m2 exterior area at reduced rates for goods which are not weather sensitive.
Layout
The facility is divided up into 6 separate warehouse areas with a maximum of 8m height to eaves. Each storage area has its own loading and delivery area with a combination of large roller shutter doors and loading docks. Heated storage is available.
Access
Normal working hours are Monday-Friday, 8.00am to 6.00pm but 24hr/ 7 day access can be arranged at customer request.
Security
Premises are protected by Cat 2 intruder alarm, CCTV, 3m palisade perimeter fencing and key fob operated gates and building access.
Lifting
Unloading and positioning of items for storage is facilitated by Merritts' extensive range of plant and equipment, including: overhead crane lifting up to 20Te, crane lorries lifting up to 25Te, lift trucks (including versalifts) with lift capacity of up to 27Te. Extended lifting facilities up to 200Te mobile plant.
Floor Loading
Significant investment in flooring and ground works on the site ensures that particularly heavy machines and pieces of equipment can be lifted, handled and stored safely.
Goods
At Merritts we specialise in industrial storage of machines and production/processing equipment; whether palletised, free standing or in crates/containers. We are however pleased to receive enquiries relating to general storage of manufacturing materials and finished product.
Storage Solutions
We have mezzanine floors and racking available to suit various products but will additionally consider the installation of a bespoke system to suit customer requirements for longer term contracts.
Subletting
Our warehouses are available for whole or part let, and could be developed to meet customer specification dependent upon contract term. For example our clients may require a facilities for a temporary showroom with connected services to demonstrate machinery in operation to potential customers, or a temporary training facility to instruct new personnel in machine operations.
Bonded
We are currently in process of registering premises as bonded facilities, this will offer inherent VAT payment benefits to customers who import machinery and equipment. Click to register your interest.
